Student Arrival and Departure

Arrival - Classes at Trinity Day School begin at 9:00. Our teachers are ready to begin their activities then, so it’s important to have your children at school on time. To make drop-off easier, we will begin moving the line at 8:45. Teaching assistants will unload your children from the car and walk them inside the building. Three and four year olds will unload on Council Street, and five year olds will unload at the playground entrance. These lines are "MOVING" lines. Please do not park your car and get out to talk if you are in line. If you are in the pickup line, a staff member will come to your car. If you wish to walk your child in, please park in the lots available.

Parents of 2 year olds are asked to park in the lot by the playground and walk their children inside to make separation easier. As the year progresses and the child’s comfort level increases, 2’s can be unloaded in the pick-up line.

Parking - Parking for Trinity Day School is available in the lot by the playground and across the street at the Williams Brice Center on Council Street. Please do not leave children unattended in your car or in the parking lot.

Departure - Classes are dismissed at 12:00 noon. On time pick-up is expected. Three year olds and Shannon's four year olds will be picked up on Council Street, and four and five year olds will be picked up at the playground. It is important for parents of three year olds to STAY IN THE CAR if you are in the pickup line. The children get excited to see you if you get out of your car, and we don’t want any children running toward the street to get to you. A staff member will bring your child to your car. Twos will be picked up at their classroom door.

Only authorized people will be permitted to pick up children. Parents must call or send a note if someone other than the norm is picking up.
